Calvin Tzeng is a cellist who moved to New York to attend the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Marion Feldman. During the summer of 2015, Calvin met violin maker Kevin Chapin, which sparked his interest in violin making. Calvin attended the Chicago School of Violin Making while studying under master maker William Whedbee. In 2016, Calvin left the Chicago School to become a full-time apprentice of Whedbee's until moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2020.
