Condition: Excellent; Crack Free

The back is of two pieces of maple cut on the quarter of narrow width flaming extending upward from the center joint. The ribs and scroll are of similar maple. The top is of two pieces of spruce cut on the quarter of fine width grain. The varnish is red-orange over a golden ground.

Founded in 1902 by Ernst Heinrich Roth, the E. H. Roth Workshop has regularly produced some of the finest German stringed instruments. It has also produced some of the best violin makers in Germany, who apprenticed with the firm and developed into master violin makers. All Roth violins have the Roth label inside, with the names of the best makers appearing on the labels.
